A Natural & Authentic Approach to Wedding Photography
Who the heck is Chris Waud?
This is me, a dad of two with a passion for capturing honest, real moments.
I have a long history with photography, the plan was to be a fashion and portrait photographer after completing my BA Honours Degree but then I found out I quite like traveling the globe capturing weddings living a semi rock star life style half the year and like a hermit for the other half!
I've being photographing wedding days for 15 years and I’ve come to the conclusion capturing a day in a authentic and real way is truly the greatest way to photograph a wedding day.
"I believe your wedding photos should feel like your day relaxed, joyful, and unapologetically real. I’m there to capture the moments as they happen, not to direct them."
Why I Became a Wedding Photographer
Photography has always been a part of my life. Before I was even born, my grandmother passed away, and my dad picked up a camera to feel closer to his own father my grandad, a creative soul who loved sculpture and photography.
When my dad passed in 2007, that connection to both him and my grandad became even more special. Photography isn’t just something I do it’s a thread that’s been woven through generations of my family.
Growing up with a “proper” camera around the house sparked my own love for taking photos, and now I get to share that same passion with my daughter, who’s already got a great eye for it.
During my degree, I discovered a love for documentary and street photography capturing real, unplanned moments and that naturally led me to weddings. Today, I bring that same honest, storytelling approach to every celebration I photograph.

I’m all about capturing your day as it really happens the laughs, the chaos, the quiet bits in between. If you like the sound of a genuine, documentary-style approach, I’d love to meet you.
