Hard to put into words just how glad we are to have chosen Chris as our photographer for our wedding. As soon as we booked him and had our first phone call we knew he wasn't a "traditional" wedding photographer -- in a great way!
On the day, he was prompt and professional but felt more like one of our guests than someone we'd hired to be there. So many guests have told us how much they enjoyed having him there and how he made people feel comfortable and at ease.
Chris naturally steered us in the right direction without ever feeling bossy or pushy, and allowed the day to run its course meaning we could spend so much time with our guests whilst also getting all the photos we wanted.
We got some photos the day after the wedding (!) and all our assumptions that we'd picked the right guy were confirmed. The photos are stunning, capture the day, and are filled with the energy we had on the day itself. Wedding photos are a personal taste, but we absolutely love the fact that there's some chaos and an organic feel to all of Chris's shots.
We cannot recommend Chris strongly enough -- he's brilliant.

Wow wow wow, where to start.
We knew we’d found the right photographer for us when we found Chris’ website and this was only confirmed during our video call and when we met Chris for a pre-wedding shoot.
Chris has an unbelievable talent, not only for taking amazing photos and capturing so much emotion in them but also for making 2 people who usually feel very awkward in front of a camera at ease.
The photos Chris took are simply stunning, we’ve had so many compliments on them.
The amount of guests who continue to tell us what a great guy he was and how he just fitted in to the day is a true testament to just how great he is. I’m so glad we had Chris take our photos so we can continue to look back on the best day ever.

Chris shot our wedding at Old Gore Barn in October 2024 and we honestly couldn't be happier with the process and the photos from that day.
I can't remember how I came across Chris, but when I found him, I instantly loved his photography style. From the first email with Chris, he was friendly, professional, and instantly put us at ease on our intro call—which is exactly what you need on your wedding day!
He managed to capture our day, us, and our guests so perfectly. The photos are truly incredible; they capture the feelings and special moments so well. We were so surprised and delighted to receive a preview gallery the very next day, and we are completely obsessed with them, and our entire gallery!
Chris has an amazing attention to detail, a knack for noticing every special moment, and he was everywhere capturing the action—I still don't know how he did it! He brought so much to our day.

Chris is simply a phenomenal photographer and on top of that is an all round wonderful person! We are blown away by our wedding photos (and our pre-wedding photos with our dogs!) and can’t stop looking through them. Each and every photo perfectly captures the fun, the feelings and emotion of the day, which is exactly what we wanted!
Importantly for us, we spent barely any time away from our guests, Chris managed to capture such special photos without taking us away for big chunks of the day. All our guests have commented on how present we were and we’re so grateful to Chris for making that happen.
Chris also gave us the best piece of advice before our wedding when he said ‘all I need is for you guys to go have a great day’ and that’s exactly what we did! That sentence took all the pressure off and reminded us to just enjoy the day and the photos reflect that entirely! Each and every moment of the day is somehow in our gallery - we don’t know how you managed to be everywhere but you were!

Chris was my wedding photographer in May 2024 in Galloway, Scotland.
My partner is a photographer and I’m an ex-broadcast videographer so we know a thing or two about photography, and Chris is truly amazing at what he does.
He had such positive energy on the day, and went above and beyond to capture special moments throughout the day. He fit in well with guests, blended into the background, but also jumped into action without missing a beat.

From our very first video call with Chris, we knew we were in good hands. He was friendly, down to earth, and so easy to talk to - like catching up with an old friend. He made us feel completely comfortable and gave us full confidence that he really understood what we were looking for and our vision. We actually booked Chris as our very first supplier for our wedding because we knew straight away he was the right fit—and we are so glad we did.
On our day, Chris brought such a calm, positive energy that helped us feel relaxed and at ease, especially during the morning when we were getting ready (this definitely helped keep the nerves at bay!). He blended in so naturally and made everything feel easy and never intrusive. He made a real effort to connect with us and our guests, and so many people mentioned afterwards how lovely he was and how comfortable they felt around him.
Chris is also hilarious, cracking jokes left, right and centre! Whether it was during the more intimate photos or group shots, he had everyone giggling, which made the whole experience feel fun and relaxed rather than posed or awkward.
What really blew us away was our preview album. It’s beautifully curated and captures the whole feel of the day — from the big moments to the little ones we didn’t even notice at the time. It genuinely felt like he was in a hundred places at once! His style is so natural and thoughtful, and he managed to tell the story of our day perfectly. It has made us even more excited to receive our full album!
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Chris. He really added to the atmosphere of the day and felt like part of the celebration rather than just someone taking photos. We weren’t initially planning to have a professional photographer for our wedding—until we attended a wedding where Chris was working. When the bride and groom released just one of his photos, we knew instantly that we had to book him!
From our very first meeting, Chris understood exactly what we wanted—candid, natural moments of our guests having fun, with just a few formal shots for memories. We’re not the overly posed, traditional type, and Chris made us feel completely at ease the entire day. After seeing Chris photograph a friends wedding a few years ago, I always said he would be my wedding photographer one day. Fast forward 3 years, and we cannot thank Chris enough for capturing our special day.
As expected, Chris was an absolute pro and made us feel super comfortable, laughing and chatting with our guests during the day. Every detail has been photographed to perfection and we still cannot believe how many special moments are documented. The photographs tell a story of our wedding from start to finish… how one person can be everywhere all at once, without anyone noticing, we will never know!
Chris’ relaxed, calm, and cheeky approach put a usually camera shy groom at absolute ease and Chris even managed to capture some lovely shots of my sister (who has autism, and usually point blank refuses to have her photograph taken - mission accomplished!)

Adding another review here to Google to ensure Chris gets all the recognition he deserves. Chris was our 13 Aug 2022 wedding photographer at Birdsall House.
We met Chris first in York for a quick engagement shoot and then again at the wedding.
He made us feel so comfortable, completely understood the kind of photos we wanted and what kind of people we were, and managed to capture every single aspect perfectly at our wedding, which happened to be in various locations around the estate.
I have no idea how he managed to be everywhere without noticing, but there was not a single thing he didn’t get! Everyone absolutely raved about Chris both during the wedding and after about how amazing he was.
The picture speak for themselves; they are all just perfect and I can’t even pick just a few to share.

Where do we start??
Chris arrived at our venue in the morning and I instantly knew he was the best photographer I could have ever chosen! His personality lit up the room, and he made me feel so relaxed. It was like having your best friend there, taking photos!
Chris got me too, he got my personality within around 5 minutes of being there and his photos really show that.
All our friends and family commented on how brilliant Chris was. He captured our day so well. He wasn’t intrusive, in fact half the time we didn’t even know he was there.
Chris said he was leaving at around 9pm, however an hour later he was still there clicking away!
If you want a fun photographer, who takes amazing photos, and who can even show your own personalities through the photos, then Chris is your guy!!
