When Plan B Became the Perfect Plan A

(Hampshire Farm Wedding | Rainy Wedding Inspiration)

rainy day wedding

It was one of those beautifully relaxed days the kind where everything just feels right, even when the weather has other ideas. The rain came down, but Ed and Gabs embraced it with open arms, surrounded by all their favourite people in one place. It turned into the most incredible celebration, and I was so happy to be there capturing every moment as their Hampshire wedding photographer.

I was so excited to pop down to Hampshire to document these two as they blessed their marriage on their gorgeous family farm. The original plan was to hold the ceremony under an old oak tree in one of their fields, but when the rain rolled in, they moved everything into one of the farm sheds and honestly, it couldn’t have been more perfect.

Everyone gathered close together, taking shelter from the rain, sitting on hay bales and surrounded by the soft glow of fairy lights. The sound of rain on the tin roof mixed with laughter and clinking glasses, creating an atmosphere that felt cosy, intimate, and full of joy. It was the kind of magic you can’t plan the kind that just happens when everyone leans into the moment.

Meeting Ed and Gabs and capturing their heartfelt farm wedding with their closest family and friends was such an honour. Days like this remind me why I love photographing weddings so much because love always shines brightest when you simply embrace what the day brings, rain and all.
